Lion’s Mane Incubation Time

Once you have inoculated the substrate, it takes between 2 to 3 weeks for the Lion’s Mane to fully colonize it.

This timeframe can vary depending on the growing environment.

Lion’s Mane Fruiting

After 5-7 days of fruiting conditions, pinheads (primordia) will start forming on the substrate. After that, they will grow into full-sized mushrooms in another 5-10 days, depending on the temperature.

The fruiting bodies of Lion’s Mane start growing larger and larger over the next week or two after primordia formation.

Harvest

You can harvest Lion’s Mane at different stages of maturity, from small to fully mature, with younger mushrooms being firmer and denser.

For a denser mushroom, it is recommended to pick them when the hairs are still short. But you can also let them grow up to 1cm in length before harvesting.
