The Best Months To Find Enoki Mushrooms

In nature, you can find enoki mushrooms almost all year round, as we have seen. However, if you want to maximize your chances of finding the common enoki mushroom (Flammulina velutipes), then we recommend looking in the fall and winter.

The only time when you may not find many enoki mushrooms is during prolonged periods of heat during late spring and summer.

In summary, if you want to have the best chances of finding enoki mushrooms, you should look for them from October until the end of March. These are clearly the best months of the year to search for them.
