It is not poisonous at all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is safe to eat, but read on to find out how to identify and prepare it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Where Are Amethyst Deceivers Found?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\" id=\"block-62bfa247-2a57-4a02-9e24-ea8a8d8248be\">\n<li><strong>Habitat:<\/strong> on acidic soil, mainly in deciduous forests.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Season:<\/strong> especially in October, at the same time as the majority of fall mushrooms that you can find on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mushroomstalkers.com\/?blogclid=amethyst-deceiver-edibility-and-lookalikes1\">our Mushroom Maps, available here.<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Identify The Laccaria Amethystina<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>A purple mushroom that does not leave anyone indifferent and intrigues with its color!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Cap:<\/strong> its cap is quite small and measures between 1 and 3 inch in diameter. Its color is dark purple and it is relatively pale.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Gills:<\/strong> its gills are adnate, fairly spaced and the same color as the cap (purple)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Stem:<\/strong> the stem is between 2 and 4 inch high, and it is also purple.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Flesh:<\/strong> the flesh is very thin and purple.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Amethyst Deceiver Lookalikes<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>It can be confused mainly with the <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Mycena_rosea\">Rosy bonnet<\/a> or the <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Mycena_pura\">Lilac bonnet<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Amethyst Deceiver Recipe<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The best way to prepare and cook Amethyst Deceivers is to eat it with an omelette!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Cooking Guide<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Heat a frying pan with a drizzle of neutral oil (sunflower, for example) and a knob of butter.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fry, for 3 minutes, 3 good handfuls of amethyst clitocybes in your hot pan so that they release their water. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Let cook for about 10 minutes over low heat to evaporate most of the water.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Recipe: Omelette<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Have a go at a classic omelette.
