If your mushroom has spines, but has a slightly unusual color, then it’s probably another variety of Hedgehog mushroom! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Indeed, there are many different Hedgehog mushrooms, of which the 2 best known species are the Common Hedgehog mushroom (hydnum repandum)<\/strong> and the Terracotta Hedgehog (hydnum rufescens)<\/strong> which we are going to talk about here! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

What Else Should You Know About The Terracotta Hedgehog?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Apart from the fact that it is a little different from the common Hedgehog mushroom, you should also know that it grows in slightly different biotopes and above all, it does not grow at the same moment ! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In general, you will be able to find it (hydnum rufescens) from the beginning of October, when its cousin will arrive rather at the end of October! This will therefore allow you to make an early harvest of Hedgehog mushrooms! Awesome, right?!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
