But what are these other names?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Devils fingers<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Octopus stinkhorn<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Clathrus archeri<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Is Devil&#8217;s Fingers Poisonous Or Edible?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With its smell of rotting meat, one might think that the Devil&#8217;s fingers mushroom (Octopus stinkhorn &#8211; Clathrus archeri) is poisonous. But it is not! However, even in the egg state, this mushroom is of little taste. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Beware of confusion with <a href=\"http:\/\/mushroomstalkers.com\">the common stinkhorn.<\/a> Indeed, at the egg state, its almond has a delicious taste of radish, which is not really the case with this mushroom. (Clathrus archeri)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Where Do Devil&#8217;s Fingers Grow<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Common in environments with abundant decaying organic matter. Devils fingers are most commonly found in leaf litter or mulch under vegetation. Devil&#8217;s finger mushrooms prefer areas with high humidity or water.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Devil&#8217;s fingers grow on soils with an acid to neutral pH.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Finally, the fruiting of this fungus will be initiated by low temperatures. It is for this reason that we come across it especially after heavy rains because these tend to cool the ground.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How To Get Rid Of Devil&#8217;s Fingers?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Many people have the problem of getting rid of it. Unfortunately, there is no systematic solution to deal with the problem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In addition, this fungus was not considered to be pathogenic, but at most slightly invasive (in the ecological sense of the term), there are no real solutions proposed to get rid of it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">One of the solutions that seems possible to us is to remove the contaminated soil and try to remove the eggs when they are forming.
